About Me

Sharing the love with my faithful hound, Elsa the Golden Retriever

Hello, it’s lovely to see you here!

I’m Heléna, the face, hands, and heart behind Vivid Vixen Jewellery. My love-affair with jewellery started during my childhood, spent growing up in the sunny south of France. Every Sunday, there was a local market outside our house, and I would save up pocket money to go and visit the lady who sold her handmade jewellery there. I still have some of those pieces today: isn’t that the magic of jewellery? It takes you straight back to a particular place, time, or person every time you wear it.

My family and I moved back to the UK when I was in my teens. I studied English Literature at university, and ended up graduating into the Covid pandemic. Whilst waiting for the world to open back up, I began teaching myself to silversmith. It was the beginning of a lifelong passion.

Throw in a move to the Peak District, a major house renovation, and a mischief-making puppy, and you’re pretty much up to date. By day, I’m a writer for a UK-based documentary podcast company. In the evenings and on weekends, you’ll find me in my studio, playing with fire and metal, sketching out new design ideas, or photographing existing pieces.

When time allows, I trade at markets near my home in Buxton. You can also find a selection of my jewellery at the Artisan Cave in Leek, and in the wonderful treasure trove that is The Handkerchief Tree in Bollington. I also release small collections on my website, many of which are one-off pieces.

Thank you for stopping by my little shop. If you have any questions, please get in touch via the Contact page. You can also follow the journey and find out more about the inspiration and the making process by visiting my Instagram or Facebook pages.

Stay sparkly x
